Managing Requirements in Your Design Flow

Clearly tracking hardware implementation for specified requirement validation has become a preferred development practice that is well suited for safety critical projects in medical, transportation, aerospace and military, but is equally significant for any complex ASIC or FPGA design.

ReqTracer® I for FPGA and ASIC Design

ReqTracer

Source: Siemens EDA
ReqTracer® is an efficient solution for managing requirements traceability and impact analysis across hardware and software project lifecycles.

ReqTracer® manages requirements in your FPGA and ASIC design flows. ReqTracer® simplifies, automates and enables requirements traceability from specification of the hardware specification through HDL coding, implementation and validation.

Clearly tracking of hardware implementation for specified requirement validation has become a preferred development practice that is well suited for safety critical projects in medical, transportation, aerospace and military, but is equally significant for any complex ASIC or FPGA design.

Safety-critical Design

Safety-critical design means, the design requirements exactly match the verified implementation. ReqTracer® can provide the proof needed to deliver end products that meet these requirements and automate requirement traceability to support corporate and external standards like DO-254, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and IEC 60601 and others.

How is the MAC address generated?

      Windows
Start a command shell by typing: cmd in the Windows menu search box and then Enter. A command line window opens. Enter: ipconfig /all. All your system network adapters will be listed. Find an adapter with a network connection and copy the physical address. This consists of 6 x 2-digit hexadecimal numbers separated by hyphens.

      Linux/Unix
Open a terminal and enter the following command: ifconfig. Confirm with Enter.
Look for the network eth0, depending on distribution it can also have a different name. The line with ether specifies the MAC ID: Here are 6 x 2-digit hex numbers separated by a colon.
